Terms of Service

These terms cover the service provided by ProperSite, a trading name of Vitadefence Ltd. By signing up you agree to them. We’ve kept them plain and fair.

The service

We design, build, host, optimise for search, and look after your website for one monthly fee (from £14.99/month). What’s included in each plan is described on our homepage and may be improved over time. Our Website + Backend plan (£25/month) adds your own login, bookings, selling and your own database; any payments on your site always run through your own payment provider, never ours. Truly custom builds are quoted individually.

Billing & cancellation

• At signup you pay one combined amount: the one-off £15 domain setup (first year’s registration included) plus your first month.
• Your monthly period starts on the day your site goes live, not the day you sign up — you don’t pay for build time. We notify you the moment your site is live. The monthly fee is then billed in advance.
• If we cannot deliver your site, you receive a full refund.
• There’s no lock-in — you can cancel at any time, no reason needed. Your plan runs to the end of the paid month, then the site goes offline. No future charges, no cancellation fee, no contract.
• Your content is always yours. If you’d like a copy of your site on the way out, just ask.

Your domain

We buy and set up your domain when your site starts — a one-off £15 charge, with the first year’s registration included; renewals after that are handled by us, there’s nothing for you to do. If you cancel, we simply stop renewing it and it lapses at the end of its registration year. If you prefer, you can have the domain registered in your own name instead, so you own it outright — we’ll tell you plainly what each option means before you decide.

Your responsibilities

• Give us the content and feedback we need to build your site.
• Make sure anything you supply is lawful and that you have the right to use it.

What we can and can’t promise

We build every site to be fast and search-friendly and we tune SEO over time, but no one can honestly guarantee a specific Google position, so we don’t. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the previous three months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
